Experiment description
In this experiment, we will study the water of crystallisation in copper sulphate crystals. We will heat blue hydrated copper sulphate crystals to remove the water of crystallisation and observe the formation of white anhydrous copper sulphate. Finally, we will add water to the white salt and observe the blue colour being restored, demonstrating the reversible hydration process.
