Experiment description
In this experiment, we will explore how oxygen concentration affects a combustion reaction. We will heat a piece of charcoal and observe its slow reaction in normal air. Then, we will lower the heated charcoal into a flask of pure oxygen to see it glow brilliantly, demonstrating how increasing reactant concentration dramatically accelerates an exothermic process.
