Experiment description
In this experiment, we will observe the appearance of iron, copper, aluminium, and magnesium before and after cleaning. First, the metals may look dull because dust or oxide layers are present on their surface. After rubbing with sandpaper, the dull layer is removed and the fresh surface becomes visible. The metals look brighter and shinier, showing the property of lustre.
