Detection of CO2 in Fermentation (Anerobic respiration)

Detection of CO2 in Fermentation (Anerobic respiration)

Experiment description

This experiment demonstrates that carbon dioxide is produced during fermentation. Yeast is added to a sugar solution, and the gas released is passed into fresh lime water. The lime water turns milky due to the formation of calcium carbonate, confirming the presence of CO2.
