Experiment description

A periscope is a simple optical device used to see objects that are not directly visible. It works on the principle of reflection of light using two plane mirrors placed at 45 degrees. Light from the object reflects twice inside the tube and reaches the observer's eye. When the mirrors are properly placed, a clear image is seen. If the mirrors are removed, the periscope does not work. Objects placed closer appear larger, while distant objects appear smaller.
