Experiment description
In this experiment, we will test the pH of a soil sample using universal indicator paper. A small amount of soil is mixed with water and shaken properly to prepare a soil solution. The mixture is then filtered, and the clear filtrate is collected in another test tube. Universal indicator paper is dipped into the filtrate and its colour is compared with the pH chart. This helps us identify whether the soil is acidic, basic, or neutral, and understand whether it is suitable for plant growth.
